Q: Good morning. We bought this chair a little bit over a year ago and the cylinder on the bottom that supports the chair has broke. The chair is still in one piece but it kinda tilts to one side when you sit on it and its very uncomfortable for your spine/back. Can this bottom part be replaced? How much does it cost? If not by Staples, Inc. is this something we can buy ourselves and fix? Please let me know. Asked on 10/22/2012 by Tee from Los Angeles, CA. Know the answer? Q: How do you adjust the height of the chair? Asked on 2/28/2011 by Julie from McDonough Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: There is a lever under the seat that would adjust the height of the seat. To raise the seat: lean slightly forward while seated to relieve the pressure on the tilt mechanism. Reach under the right side of the chair and locate the handle and raise yourself up slightly to allow the chair to reach your desired height. To lower the seat: remain seated and lift the handle upwards until the chair lowers to your desired height. If you would like to place an order, please call us at 1-800-333-3330. You also have the option to order online. Answered on 3/15/2011 by Christina M from Staples

Q: I am trying to choose between this product, and the Staples Amada. The description of this chair does not have "Swivel tilt, tension and lock", which are all critical to the chairs function. Does this chair have: tilt, tension, lock, height adjustment, or should I choose the Amada because it has those options. Would either of these chairs be considered ergonomic? Asked on 5/13/2010 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: This chair does not have tilt tension/lock. Answered on 5/20/2010 by Customer Care from Staples A: The Staples Caswell has basic tilt, tension and height adjustments. It does not lock the swivel setting. If you require more sensitive adjustments, you may want to consider an upgrade. Answered on 9/15/2010 by CashGuyFL from Fernandina Beach, FL
