Tape was used during an office move. First purchased a 6 pack of [...] brand packing tape 6pack @ [$]. [...] tape was cheap, flimsy and came unstuck from the boxes overnight, and the roll kept sticking back onto it's self. Bought the Staples brand tape 6pack @[$] to finish out the job & repair boxes where the [...] tape came off. Staples brand tape worked well, stuck well, was thick & clear. We usually use the Scotch packing tape, but didn't want to spend that kind of money to pack for the move. Unexpected bonus: the Staples tape doesn't have a strong odor like the Scotch.

This has been a very frustrating tape for me to use thus far. It has the same problem all generic shipping tape seems to have. It splits. This is especially bad when you are trying to "start" the tape. If you are an infrequent user and find yourself starting the tape everytime you go to use it, I would buy one of the 3M products.

This tape does NOT stick too well to corrugated ... so as far as tapes go.... it ain't to good now is it! Unfortunately, most of these large rolls are equal and not worth the money, but what choice do you really have!~! The larger industrial rolls are Great, but do NOT fit into the hand held guns.
