They were super cheap and that alone was worth the few that died fast and couldn't be saved.Some would start skipping and then stop all together. I tried all the tricks to get them going again. Tapping, slow light circles on paper, even the heat the tip up to melt the ink trick but no use. The few that died were really dead or blocked and after only minutes of use.The rest worked and are still working fine though.I bought these simply on a whim to write some notes while conversing with the copy center guy.At [$] a dozen, I'd probably purchase them again if I needed pens on the spot.

I do a lot of handwriting and am a pen "collector", more like hoarder, of all inexpensive kinds. This pen is great for writing because it writes thinly (great for writing within lines), smoothly, very comfortably. Cons not mentioned are: leaky ink at tip and that the cap does not stay put when placed on the non-writing end. I now prefer this pen over Bics or Papermate value pack pens.

I must write legal documents, and my vision isn't great. So, I was pleasantly surprised that this pen wrote darkly enough so that I could clearly see my writing! And, the dark lines weren't thick, either. The pen was also super-comfortable.
