I use the three hole paper for printed transcripts for legal use. It may also be used as evidence in a courtroom; it is certainly looked at and used by attorneys. It is expected that I have a very professional, presentable, bound transcript that is also very durable. I have probably printed over 20,000 sheets in the last five years. The quality is always 100 percent perfect.

3-hole printer paper OK
basic 3 hole paper works in my duplex laser printer without many jams. Unfortunately, can't get a competitive price on it like you can with unpunched printer paper.

By contrast, the much cheaper, decent quality 3-hole binder paper sold for college kids jams in the duplexer, so isn't a reasonable substitute.
