        i see the product is vellum. does that mean its the shiny material? i need bristol paper that is not shiny but simply smooth, which is good for colored pencils.

          Vellum is a transparent paper, which is usually used to place on top of another paper. It has a little sheen to it, but I wouldn't call it "shiny". colored pencil should work on it, but most pens won't.

          Vellum finish is a smooth look but slightly textured finish. This finish is the best for colored pencils.
