If you routinely burn data, videos, music, etc. on more than one disc in a set, this slim double-disc item may fit the bill. Unlike the harder plastic CD version (which easily cracks or breaks at the hinge), it takes a lot to damage one of these DVD-designed items. You have a sleeve on the outside for disc information if needed (you'd be amazed how many years it took me to notice that fact).

The discs fit inside nicely, although occasionally the clips don't lock correctly and the disc slips out of place. On average, this happens with about 1 disc in each 20-case pack. Also, if absolutely necessary, it is possible to fit a third disc in a paper sleeve inside the case, and it will still close securely.

My negatives, or "cons," are nit-picky: You basically only have one quantity -- the 20-pack -- available for purchase. Also, it would be nice if they offered the colored variety, like with the single-disc cases. However, given the fact that these are becoming an endangered species -- Staples is one of the only stores that still carries them on the shelf for purchase -- I can live with those limitations.

The slim-line version of these Staples brand double DVD cases has me thinking differently when I burn my own DVDs. I think in terms of two. If I have a lot of material that needs to be stretched over 2 discs, then I have the perfect storage case for that. The inserts I design are easily placed in the sleeves and they look great! I usually start a production line to get large sets of DVDs packaged, and I give some as gifts as well. I don't miss not having a spine because I usually ignore the spine anyway. The slim-lines take up less space, and that is a good thing. All in all, this is a great find for me, and I use a lot of them.

I market a computer program that requires two discs so this works perfectly. The slim design allows me to mail to the customer via a Priority Mail flate rate envelope with enough extra space to also include the operating manual and Quick Start Guide. I also used this product several years ago to market a two disc set video of a Best In Show judging from a very large National event. The design for two discs made it perfect to have one disc of the open class and another disc of just the youth class.
