The ink cartridge is ok for the price. It smears a little in the postage meter, but reads ok. The color is supposed to be RED, and it seems a little more on the PINK side. All in all, I have repurchased it due to the price compared to manufacturer's price.

This generic ink cartridge fits the machine fine and works okay, but within a couple of months it dries out and you can no longer use it. If you are a high-volume mailer that has to relace postage meter cartridges more frequently than every 2 months it would be fine.... but if you are a less-frequent user, buy the official Pitney-Bowes product. It's more expensive but won't dry out, and probably ends up being cheaper in the long run.

                it is new. all it is, is a plastic box with ink inside. it is just not manufactured by pitney bowes. from what i notice is the color is not as bright as pitney bowes ink. but who cares right?
