I purchased this desk for my home office space. I have limited space and this desk works wonderful. It was light enough for me to carry up the steps. I found it easy to put together. Desk is large enough for me to have lap top on top along with any papers and books I need. Because the desk is black with black glass, it goes with any style decor. I looked at several different types of desk for the limited space I have in my living room to set up my home office. This desk fit the bill perfectly. I would recommended this desk to any one.

Great desk to fit into small space. I was surprised at how easy it was to put together since I am completely challenged when it comes to these type of things. It looks nice in the room and doesn't take up a lot of space. The only real drawback we could really say, is that there is no real place to place a computer printer or fax. If the bottom had a shelf, this would be a perfect space saver desk! We added apiece of plywood painted black, cut to fit the bottom and it looks great AND holds our printer.

Nice little desk,except for the aggravating fact that the shelf is too small to comfortably accomodate an 18" keyboard + a mouse. There is no apparent reason for this design flaw; there is plenty of empty space on either side of the shelf for them to have made the shelf more generously sized.

For the most part I am impressed with this desk considering the price. The steel frame is solid and assembly was painless (took about an hour). The glass surface of the main desk area is appealing.

A few improvements can turn this desk into a near flawless compact desk:

1) When the keyboard tray is extended, it does not lock into place and is bit sloppy and doesn't optimally align. This becomes an issue during heavy competitive gaming. When extended a keyboard tray should be firm and steady.

2) The width of the keyboard tray is slightly on the short side (23.5"). It comfortably houses a compact keyboard (~15") and mouse pad (~7"), but I would like a few inches more to accomodate gaming keyboards and mice. I'm not an expert in architecture and design, but it seems nothing is preventing a larger keyboard tray since there is ~3" extra space on each side of it.

Hopefully Staples reads this and improves the product in an updated version.
