College professor & nurse; I write with fountain pens and am active with those in fountain pen collecting and on the Fountain Pen Network Forum, where recommendations brought me to try this paper over much more expensive papers had been using; I was awestruck---Bagasse paper is a better all around paper and buy; have tried many different brands and colors of ink;also brands of fountain pens; all work great on this paper; ballpoint pens and rollerballs, as well; we had to really hunt for the paper at our different Staples stores till we found it, as some employees weren't aware of it; once found, we bought a lot and use it daily; we also like that it is eco-friendly. Thank you, Staples, for this product.

I use this sugarcase base (bagasse) paper for everything. It IS very thin but very tough - perfect for informal letters.
All my personal correspondence and writing is done with a fountain pen. The paper is very smooth and of high quality so that the nib gives little feedback. And, this paper will not soak through. I have even spilled ink on it & the ink can't penetrate to the back.
The paper is not white but a very pale blue with brown lines. Probably not ideal for drawing due to the color but it shows off ink very nicely and is easy on the eyes.
This is the only general use paper I buy anymore. It's THAT good.
