I have bought dozens of floor mats over the years, but there was obviously something wrong with this particular model, perhaps a bad batch of PVC, or a poorly considered change of formula or design, because this mat started breaking up after about a year.

I believe that Rubbermaid owes its customers an apology, and should replace these.
