I have been using these rubberbands now for about 5 or 6 years and they have never let me down.I had no idea that they were as strong as they are.I use them every day and probably use at least 30-35 of them.I also have a cheaper brand,but they are no match for staples brand.The cheaper ones break on me at least half of the time.I did get a lot more of the cheaper brand for the money I paid,but what I thought was a savings,turned out to be a waiste of money.When they are used up,I will only use the Staples brand from then on

I'm sorry to say, the Staples brand rubberbands are all too often stinky. I know, I know it is rubber. But, I also know something can be done about it (masking agents, neutralizing additives, etc.).

I opened the plastic bag, punched holes in it and put it in the hot summer sun for a while to help let the outgassing escape. Will Staples do anything about it?
