The paper slot is wider than the paper guide. If you do not line the paper properly against the guide the paper can go into the extra gap and the holes will not be where they should be. It is awkward to line the paper against the paper guide. I resorted to cutting double faced tape to put in the slot so the paper lines up properly. You shouldn't have to resort to this. This is poor design. Otherwise this unit compares favorably to the Acco electric three hole punch our office uses. The Acco does not have an issue with paper alignment

So far, this unit has performed perfectly. I do a lot of 3-hole punching and my hope is that it holds up to the heavy use. Using the manual 3-hole punch, I sprained my wrist and had to use worker's comp. I look forward to avoiding that injury in the future.

The first one I ordered didn't work. I had to call and request a new one, so far I've used it once, and it worked ok. Hopefully it won't break down on me.
