For personal use. It I like the design and how it saves space but it is very difficult to use. You seem to have to put a great deal of pressure on the pencil for it to sharpen.

My only complaint is that the pencil opening is rather small... It fits pencils snuggly and for some slightly non standard pencils, it strips the paint off. However, I think the snug fit, creates a more uniform point.

Does not work. Chews pencils up completely, or sharpens one side of the pencil while leaving the wood covering the opposite side. Unlike the old-fashioned crank sharpeners, switching the pencil to the other side or rotating while sharpening doesn't help. I'm usually a fan of Staples brand, but this product has let us down.
