Comments about Staples® Front to Back Lateral File Rails:
These worked great once I figured out the correct way to attach/snap them so they would stay put and not turn on their sides. There seemed to be only one correct way to stabilize them and the directions were not helpful.
For the Staples® Front to Back Lateral File Rails, one 4 pack completes the following: 36" wide 2 drawer - 2 rows each drawer -LTR/LTR, LTR/LGL, LGL/LG

Q:
My drawers are 38" wide but only 9.5" deep (ie front to back). Will this work? Could I use the 36" wide and just have a bit of space between the two?
Is there something better that would work for me?

These rails are designed only to work with Staples Brand Metal File Cabinets. At 15 7/8" long the rails are too long and will not fit in your drawers.

Q:
How long are these? My lateral file cabinet is 30" wide and about 18" deep. The depth is adjustable, but I would like to get all the use out of the file cabinet as I can.
I am trying to purcahse File Rails to convert a 4 drawer file cabinet to two side by side columns (front to back filing; which will hold leagal size hanging folders. The current rails in three of the drawers measure 16" in length. Is this the correct item to order if I need additional rails for one of the drawers in the cabinet?

Q:
What is the width of this product & is it set up with a double rung? I am looking for something that is 1" wide and has a rung on each side of the divider.

These are file rails specifically for Staples brand 30" and 36" lateral files. They allow for front to back filing.

Q:
I am looking for front to back lateral file rails that are about 12" to be set up as in this product but it seems too deep. Do you sell something like that?
Each manufacturer has different specifications and lengths for their lateral files. Please contact customer service at 1-800-333-3330 with the model of your filing cabinet and we will be happy to assist you further.
