I love this package of pens! The colors are really fun and the pens write very well. I use these for gifts, as well as for myself, because my family loves school/office supplies as much as I do -- one of the best things about going back to school was getting new supplies and their "new" smell! A dozen is a good amount for this package, although if you made a package with doubles of all the colors for a similar good price, I'd love that even more. I only like and buy medium point pens. The grip and writing ease of these pens feel good in my hands, which I mention because I have arthritic hands, and I can write for long time periods with these pens, and my hands don't hurt as much when I'm finished as often happens with many other kinds of pens. A goodly amount of my regular writing usage cannot be done by computer, so I do need to write by hand for long time periods, and I'm always on the lookout for pens that make this easier and less painful for me. I do wish they would last longer, but the clear "tube" does make it easy to see when it is going to run out of ink; that is another reason I would like to have doubles of all the colors ini the package. I guess I just enjoy a LOT of a good thing!

I purchased this set b/c the price was decent & I like using colored ink. After about 5 minutes of use, I it's like the ink died, yet there was ink in the barrel. After trying the other colors, the same thing happened. I promptly returned them to staples & purchased colored ink pens by another brand.
