This file box is perfect for organizing and managing my administrative files from my sibling's estate. The top tray just under the lid allows me to carry pens, markers, paper clips, rubber bands and other items needed to prepare and sort files. When I need to visit the lawyer, I simply tote the whole file by the convenient handle. Perfect for when you need to carry tons of file folders around.

The container is great for filing/storage. BUT...when I went to take off the sticker from the front, it tore off part of the plastic coating! I was very careful when I took it off too (it's not like I ripped it off). No matter how careful I was, it tore some of the plastic off the front of it.

                    No I am sorry there is no slot on the file box to add a lock; this is a click close top. May I suggest the Staples item number 504994, which is a locking file drawer.
