I have been using these file boxes for a number of years. They have held up very well. I have never had one break or had any problems with the lid hinge or latch. Holds nearly as much as a standard file drawer. Very handy if you have to transport a moderate number of file folders. I use this to carry files to meetings and presentations. Also useful if I have to transport files home or to a remote office. Stable enough to stack three of four high. A lot easier to carry than a regular box, keeps one hand free. The only complaint I've had is that the the style changes frequently. Probably different manufacturers. More a cosmetic issue than anything else.

Decided I needed a special file box for some personal information that
I have previously have cluttered in many locations. I like the feature
that it had a sturdy handle to use to carry it and I also like the fact that
the box is black in color and not completely "see through" on the cover.
The file box seems sturdy and the latch works well. The size of the box
will work to my advantage since I am a senior citizen and it would be
quite easy for me to handle if and when I need to take the file box
with me somewhere.
