We ordered 10 of these (on sale!) to stack for a full-wall library room. [...] They assembled easily and look better than expected for what they cost. Some wood pieces (20%) were damaged and replacements had to be ordered through the manufacturer. All in all, a good experience!

Not Worth the Effort

Upon opening the package, I found the product to be moderately scared by poor packaging. Chip core is not as dense as to be expected for a product advertised as a business solution(i.e. brand name is "Business Furniture Systems"). I ordered two of these-one in cherry and one in the maple. Both were of the same quality--junk.

I love these bookcases. I bought two and put them together in less than an hour. Easy to assemble and sturdy enough for all my books, even the big health books that I have had to lay flat on my old shelves. They also match the decor of my cherry wood entertainment center.

Using a set of the 3 and 5 shelf bookcases for DVD collection in family room and two of the 3 shelf units in living room for stereo speakers - the cherry wood finish looks great!
