            This was the poorest quality bookshelf I have purchased from Staples. They stopped offering a higher quality product, also available in white, and replaced the price point with this pure junk. Arrived damaged: crushed corners, broken edges. Arrived filthy. With a damp rag, wiping the shelving the black finish came off on the rag staining it black. The hardware is cheap and flimsy. The laminate on the edges didn't even cover all the outside edges. Their previous offering in this price range was more stable and came in a clean laminate finish. This product is unstable and a waste of money.

                  I would not buy this bookcase. The fact that it is basically one bookshelf screwed on top of another makes for a very flimsy bookcase that I don't trust at all. It was put together correctly, but we are already planning on taking a loss and throwing it away as I don't want the top (which wobbles back and forth a lot with nothing on it) falling over. If you have children, you should ABSOLUTELY NOT buy this bookcase, it could easily fall over and seriously injure someone.

                    Bougth for my new baby's room so I could put all his/her books on there so I didnt need a heavy duty book shelf. The back is cardboard and only thing I had trouble hamering in myself but the rest was pretty easy to assemble for me. And it was a chap price, I used a coupon and free shipping so good deal to me.
