After searching for a high quality/durable chair mat, the Staples Cust Svc Rep recommended this item because it was thicker and less expensive than comparable mats on the website for thick carpet. I ordered it, installed it and returned it within 4 days. Mat is not strong enough to support my weight (157 lbs) without creating a depression and aggravation moving the Staple's brand
desk chair around on it. Specs look impressive, however, this is not effective for thick carpet.

Replaced chairmat that had cracked. Wanted a more heavy duty one, which was not available in the stores. Seems to be exactly what I was looking for.

Even though our carpet is not considered extra-high pile, we bought this hoping that the thickness of the mat would keep my husband's chair from sinking into the mat. It works wonderfully.

If you don't mind having to reposition this chair mat daily, then it is a good product. It is very durable and will protect my high pile area rug from chair divots.
