was looking for a micro hdmi cable but came across this adapter in stead, good choice as I already had a hdmi cable works right out of the package actually is better than the hdmi to computer connection which has the voice out of sync with the mouth,, very distracting. this one works perfectly and didn't need another cable....

It is fine depending on your application. I was hoping to use it with the Kindle HD but the design of the Kindle and the shape of the adapter pulled down on the plug gap, so I didn't trust it enough to keep. Should be fine with a laptop or device that lays flat
