I bought this for an inexpensive office chair to replace my broken hand me down. Whoever designed this chair needs to be consisgned to the deepest pit of hell. The assembly process demands 2 people- I did it by myself barely, but I still need help from my boyfriend when he gets home tightening a couple of the bolts.

Putting the arms on is terrible- on my chair the holes in the fabric were not over the screw holes, so I had to shift and adjust it. Then when putting the bolts in to put the arms on I had to constantly shift and jiggle the arm to try and get the bolts to set in the plastic and not strip it.

Getting the back on this chair is an absolute nightmare for the reasons stated above and just getting it to line up between the arm rests so you can get the bolts in. If you must build this chair, get help. You'll need it.

Also, for those complaining of a downward tilt- I found I had this problem because I had the base attached to the cushion backwards (instructions are vague). I unscrewed the base, flipped it around and refastened it and found it no longer tilts down and the title function tilts up correctly as designed. When sitting in your chair, the handles should be on your right side.

Bottom line: If you need a cheap chair that's reasonably comfortable (seat cushion could use more padding) and don't want fake leather or vinyl that sticks to you in the heat, this will probably do provided you say a few hail marys while you build it.
