I purchased one of these for my mother and 2 of these files for myself to use as a base for a workroom table using a door as the top. This gives me a large work area that is a good height to use for sewing machine, laptop computer, crafts, etc., and provides good storage for household bills, pattern books and other items. They are very sturdy. The only 'cons' are the lack of a file stop and the tendency to tip forward when the top drawer is opened; however, I don't have that problem now that the door/desktop is on them. I do wish these files were available in an 18" depth.

Yes, easy to assemble - but way too small, even for the small amount of files I have. The files in the bottom drawer hit the drawer above and you have to push down on them to the drawer. And any files in the back - either in the top or bottom shelf - are very hard to get at; if you stand the files straight up (filling the drawer), you'll never access them. If you try to open both drawers, the cabinet tips over. You get what you pay for ... I wish I had spent the extra $20 or so to get a metal cabinet-which would have given me more room and stability ... I'm sure I would have been happier in the long run. This might, though, make a good yarn bin or craft cabinet or junk drawer ... just too small and el-cheapo for functioning files.

The drawers are not tall enough and it is difficult to get at hanging files that are not right in the first few inches of drawer depth. You almost need to pull the drawer completely out of the cabinet.
We have a small office, and our file space is limited, but we need to keep a certain number of years worth of files close at hand. I have a large U-shaped workstation, and was looking for a two-drawer rolling file cabinet that didn't exceed a certain height, that I could just roll under my desk to store some of my seldom used but still needed files. The construction of the parts in and of themselves is not bad - but I bought two of these, and one of the kits had plastic cam locks instead of metal ones, which did not catch well with the metal cams, and a couple of them snapped with very little pressure. So, the finished product is somewhat flimsy. Assembly instructions were clear, and the rest of the parts were all present and accounted for. The drawers do run in and out smoothly, but they do not sit straight in the cabinet itself. My biggest complaint, and perhaps the most important one, is that when files are put in the top drawer, the tops of the file tabs don't clear the bottom of the cabinet's top, and when files are put in the bottom drawer, they don't clear the bottom of the top drawer. I tried everything, including attempting to make any allowable adjustments to the drawer runners, both on the drawer sides and on the inside of the cabinet. Nothing worked. I only paid [$] each for these, so I guess it's just a case of "you get what you pay for." The hanging files I use are NOT an unusual brand, nor do they have super-high tabs. Just A Note: The hanging files I use are: Smead FasTab Hanging folders. They DON'T WORK with this filing cabinet. I tried the plain green hanging files with the slide-in clear tabs - those caught on the drawers the same way. You can get the drawer closed, but it squishes all your tabs up and makes the drawers difficult to open & close. I'm going to try the $129.00 solid oak version of Staples two-drawer filing cabinet & see if that works.
Nice looking cabinet, wheels a real plus. Ideal next to desk or work station for access to routine documents. Would be even better if it came in other colors than usual "fake oak." Directions are mostly clear and it can be assembled in less than an hour with a few simple tools anyone can use (NOTE: none provided). Good feature: detailed parts list with part numbers, and picture of parts needed for each assembly stage are listed in each step, but it would be improved if part number listed in addition to or instead of picture of parts as several look similar.
