Fits my computer setup nicely (Mac G4, 22" cinema)

Just a couple cautions regarding setup: in my opinion, step 2 is one where a second person is needed, unless you elevate the back edge of the main desk somehow; at this stage the only connections are the 2 screws you are putting thru the back piece, and you need to be very careful that they aren't ripped out of the holes before firmly attached.

Also, if you have any plans of using a power adaptor (not incl) for the usb hub (instead of connecting to a computer), decide before assembling as it seems quite difficult to get to the adaptor connection once everything is in place. Also, I neglected to look on the back of the hub to see what type of power adaptor (voltage, polarity) would be required. If it's not printed there, then make inquiries because it is not specified in the accompanying sheet or manual.

On the plus side, I kind of like Staples system of prepackaging the small parts according to each step rather then just one big pile of screws, cams, dowels, etc.

If you were wondering, (as the web page nor the box details this) the top shelf and keyboard shelf are 11.5" deep, the main desk work area arcs from 13" at the edge to 17.5" at the center. The top of the keyboard shelf is 25.5" from the ground, the desk is standard at 29.5".

I think it is a good value for the money, and looks sharp.

I reviewed this desk when I purchased it just over two months ago. But I'm sorry to report that the finish on the desk is wearing away very quickly. Ironically it was the zebrawood finish that attracted me to this desk in the first place.

The finish is a laminate - basically a photographic sticker of the zebrawood that is glued to the wood, I believe melamine is the industry term. It is not a hard durable plastic laminate like formica (think kitchen counter tops).

In two months time my hand and mouse (with smooth teflon glider on the bottom) has worn off the finish (see photos).

I haven't used any chemicals on the desk other than a damp cloth, and my hands are always clean, so I am amazed that the finish wore out so quickly.

This great awesome desk has a horrible finish. I'm going to call my local Staples where I purchased the product, but according to their website they only offer a 14 day return policy on furniture.

This desk looks much better than the photos. Price can't be beat for what you get. It's a solid desk.

What sold me was the three level surfaces: keyboard, desktop, monitor shelf. I love the nooks under the monitor shelf. It's a lot smaller than my prior desk, but I don't seem to miss the real estate.

USB hub is sort of cool, and I like the velvet gadget dock (just a fuzzy cardboard tray with slots for your charger cables - fits in the nook)

I'm not sure that I like the arc to the desk top - it forces me to be too far from the screen when using the keyboard tray. I'll probably get a monitor arm to put the screen closer to the front of the desk. The round pillars and chrome collars look out of place on this desk, but it's a minor thing. Desk edges could be more rounded for comfort.

I'd like to see a full size desk version of this, with drawers. Haven't seen a matching file cabinet, but I'd buy one if there were.

** On Assembly - I've heard two people complain about step 2. My solution was to use the hardware packing box to prop up the bottom part which seemed to be just the right height.

I assembled this desk in about 2 hours by myself with patience and reading the directions thoroughly. During the beginning steps of assembly, I recommend using the box it came in as a "second hand" if you will. I placed the desk upside down so the ledge of the box/foam allowed the back panel to be screwed in without any issue. This requires you to not mangle the box when you get it. I then left it in that place until it was absolutely necessary to turn the desk. My hand was sore from all of the screws, but not a big deal. I did however put the back piece (step 2) on backwards, and didn't realize until about step 16. No big deal, I was just unable to install one of the cams in the rear (seemed unneeded anyway.) Plenty sturdy, and as you can see from my pics, its holding much more than my computer. The usb hub is quite a bit more helpful than I thought it would be. Looks like a much more expensive desk....long term durability of the finish is yet to be reviewed - I've only had the desk for a day.

I am very picky about my furniture and when i saw this desk i knew i had to get it. This desk is very spacious and best of all is very easy to move around. There isn't anything bad i can say about it. The wheels on the bottom help make make my life easier, and the usb dock/port is very useful.

I spent a half day assembling this, and yes I read the instructions first. All pictures but easy to follow. It says one person may assemble, but believe me you need a second for some. DO NOT use power tools, you dont need them, and use the glue where and when its says and you will have a quality product your friends will envy. I have a 24" flat screen in the middle, with 2 17" laptops on either side. The USB hub in the front panel is a big help. My Tower rest good on the bottom rack along with a Woofer, and rudder pedals for my flight simulators. I AM VERY happy with it.
