I couldn't wait to buy this chair. I kept looking at it, siting in it for a few minutes at the store. It finally went on sale...and I used my rewards to pay for it. I was asked if i wanted to purchase the warranty and I didn't. Upset that I didn't because within about 3-5 months the material started cracking and wearing off. And it is pretty hard to sit on, not enough cushioning. :(

Q:
My chair is less than a year old. My problem was and is with the gas cylinder leaking and letting the chair sink. I called your business and received a new cylinder. Now I want to install it but I don't know how to get the top part of the cylinder out of the bracket that fastens to the bottom of the chair seat. I know it is just a press fit and I have worked on machinery etc. all my adult life but I can't figure how this comes apart. I did manage to get the base separated from the bottom of the cylinder but no luck on the top. Can anyone help, please?

I have the Montessa Luxura® Manager's Chair and like it a lot; however, now I need a counter height chair. Any idea if this one can be adapted? I see where there are other chairs that include a drafting kit (DK-2 Item 789696). Will this work on this chair?

Where can I get a new gas cylinder for my chair? I bought the chair on 3/2/2010.I have used it every day that I have worked.It is a great chair but the cylinder started leaking and now the chair won't stay up. I'm on my way to buy a new chair just like this one only in black. The only thing wrong with the old one is the cylinder.

  Looking at the assembly instructions and a customer's comment, it appears this chair can be assembled easily. There are seven pieces to be assembled and four different hardware pieces. The allen wrench tool is included.

  The Telford chair (item # 858959) has nylon casters, Montessa has resin casters, Telford has over padded seat and back for extra comfort, and padded adjustable arms. The Montessa chair dosen't have extra padding and the padded arms are not adjustable.

  This chair has center tilt with adjustable tilt tension and lock: Tilt tension/Tilt lock: Yes / Yes.
  To operate tilt lockout:
  • Tilt lockout locks the chair in the
  upright position only.
  • Pulling the handle all the way out,
  allows the chair to tilt.
  • Pushing the handle in locks the chair in
  the fully upright position.
  To tilt tension adjustment:
  • Grasp the round cylinder knob under
  the front center of the seat.
  • For firmer/stiffer--turn counter
  clockwise.
  • For softer/looser--turn clockwise
