It's the best compact size stapler on the market (20 sheets - absolutely true). It's so good that I have purchased 20 to give away as gifts. If you need to staple more than 20 sheets of paper, get the standard size Staples "One Touch" DX-3 (28 sheets - absolutely true) - it's bulky, but it's the best standard size stapler on the market. The PaperPro Prodigy (Generation II) stapler is the second best standard size stapler on the market.

After 5 months of use, it jammed and I can't get any staples in as it only opens up less than halfway! Do not suggest using with 2 pieces of paper as it cuts right through. Noticed that the price has gone up since I purchased it...won't buy another one.

Stapled okay for awhile but now (only a month later) has trouble getting through anything more than two sheets. Not really a one-touch.

  Press down on the black button on the back of the stapler. The stapler carrier will pop right out. Once you have inserted the staples push the staples carrier back in until it clicks.

Does this CX-3 stapler really use the same staples as the full-strip DX-3 model? The CX-3 sheet capacity is 20, but the DX-3 sheet capacity is 28.

  Yes, they both take a 1/4 inch staple. The 8 sheet difference is in the fold of the staple.
