Q: OK. Evidently 18 years of formal education is not enough to figure out how to open this stapler to put in new staples. There a botton on the back (opposite where the staple comes out) that says PUSH...that does not seem to do anything. There is small sticker on the front where the staple comes out that says Push with a red arrow pointing "forward"...that doesn't see to do anything. Can someone tell me how to open up the stapler? I looked at the "manual" and that says "Push button for easy staple loading" relative to the PUSH button...but it doesn't show how that button opens the stapler. Thank you. I'd first check that you're using a high quality staple, particularly if you're fastening just a few sheets of paper together. Often times you'll find that even though a staple is listed as a specific size, they might be slightly longer or shorter than other staples of that side which will effect how tightly they fasten against the back of the paper.
