I use this product everyday to remove staples from students' papers. I consistently remove a staple from 30-40 papers at a time. My students really love it. It is a cool gadget. I do not understand the reviewers who cannot figure out how to use it! Very simple to use. The magnet is on the rear of the unit and it must be turned around to pick up the staple. It doesn't work automatically. I bought another one for a fellow teacher, who loved it too.

Highly recommend this product. I do not know about the problems with heavy duty staples, as I do not use it for that purpose. If you have an office job that requires you to remove a ridiculous amount of staples each day, then buy something metal. This is only plastic, but it does what it advertises.

Hard to use. I still haven't gotten the hang of it, even after referring to the picture on the packaging. I'm thinking of returning it. In purchasing this product, I was looking for something that would be easier to use than the old-fashioned staple removers; but after using this, I'll be returning to those tried and true staple removers. I love Staples brand products and I like the rest of the One-Touch products (staplers, hole punches); but I don't like this one.

This works great if it's sitting on a table or desk. If you pick it up, it doesn't work at all. Since I do most of my staple removing at a copy machine, this is useless.

I love this staple remover. It is strong and the best part is the magnetic spot on the bottom to collect the removed staples. I used this same remover for a year before it broke. It is perfect for regular staples but not for heavy duty staples. So it does last and I have to pull at lease 40 staples a day M-F. So this time I bought 2 of them so that I would not be without. I recommend this to any one who has to pull a lot of staples out of paper work.

I found this product helpful for my staple remover needs. i have yet to find a staple it cant remove. however I would caution that this product is not effective for other removal purposes such as glue or other adhisive removal. I also found it to be a TWO touch staple remover. so if you are really looking for one touch i would go else where.
