I was looking for a replacement for the BIC Z4+ Needle Point .5mm. This one fits the bill. The only drawback was the barrel needs the rubber gripper. It's just a little less comfortable to hold on to than the Z4+. Other than the grip I like the pen. If you have to do a lot of writing or signing your name on numerous documents like I do this pen will work. The smooth flow of the ink and the fact that it does not glob up or smear makes this pen perfect for signing documents and filling out lots of paperwork.

This is a truly great pen with one remarkable (but fixable) flaw - the cap. Of the two dozen I bought fully 1/3rd of them had caps that simply would not stick on the back end. For heavy users like myself, putting the cap aside was not an option A) it throws off the balance when writing and B) I'd lose the darned things. Fortunately, I found an ideal solution - wrap a small piece of clear cellophane tape around the base (where the cap sits) and that extra mm of width firmly secures the cap!

This is a good writing pen but the lid seems to have a bad spring in the tip at times and the lid tends to come off alot.ANNOYING!!!!!
