The actual written line will be smaller in a needle point pen (closer to the 0.2mm) because only a small portion of the ball diameter actually contacts the paper.The difference between needle and conical is two-fold:
· The exterior shape is different – conical v. needle
· The internal ink delivery system is different because the channels are smaller on the needle version requiring changes to the components used to deliver the ink to the ball.
