I just received these pens today, but I can already tell that they are great, especially for the price. They write similar to the Pilot Precise V5 (albeit with a wider grip), but they are much less expensive. The only "negative" is that these needle point Optiflow pens are only available online, but hopefully that will change.

The writing and the feel are great, but the little part that holds the tip falls out very easily. I bought 1 dozen a month ago, and had to throw away 10 of them. The little black part that holds the tip, and is set into the barrel is very cheaply done.

IT NEEDS TO BE FIRMER.

Our office buyer stumbled across this pen over a year ago, we have been purchasing them ever since. We have a high volume office and these pens are used daily. They are always reliable, no smear (I'm left-handed) so no messy ink down the side of my hand. I am hoping staples will package this pen as a retractable one soon.

I ordered these pens online for the girls at work and myself, we have a hard time finding just the right pen. These turned out to be a wonderful surprise, they work on all our different types of paperwork, which makes this pen nearly the perfect fit! Also, I recieved them in the mail 2 days after they were ordered, so that was also wonderful!

  The ink dries quickly. This quality suggests the ink is gel. The ink flows smoothly for longer periods and this suggests the ink is less viscous and can be liquid. The manufacturer can provide better insight.
  The questions sections suggests the ink cannot be removed easily from clothing. This suggests the autograph will last on an baseball if this ink is used. One review suggests the ink is not retractable.

  The OptiFlow pen uses Liquid Ink. Liquid ink roller ball pens flow extremely consistently and skip less than gel ink pens do. The lower viscosity of liquid ink increases the likelihood of consistent inking of the ball, whereas the higher viscosity of gel ink produces "skipping", that is, occasional gaps in lines or letters.

  The actual written line will be smaller in a needle point pen (closer to the 0.2mm) because only a small portion of the ball diameter actually contacts the paper.The difference between needle and conical is two-fold:
  · The exterior shape is different – conical v. needle
  · The internal ink delivery system is different because the channels are smaller on the needle version requiring changes to the components used to deliver the ink to the ball.
