I use my pen for work. I love that it is a dual use pen and laser pointer. I like that it looks and feels like a quality pen. My only complaint would be that the laser pointer button is wiggly and noisy, and makes it seem cheap.

As far as I can tell, the pointer itself works great. However, I didn't get to use it for very long before the batteries died. I purchased the STAPLES BRAND pen, with batteries. I got less then 15 minutes use before the battery started dying. I was not happy about this, and went back to Staples to buy more. Well, Staples does not carry the batteries. So I got them to exchange it, and the same thing happened to the new one. If I have to go buy replacement batteries that soon, I would think that Staples should carry the batteries for it. Not happy.
Nice looking pen, but the laser button is flimsy and doesn't work many times. I bought it an hour before my presentation and chose to pay the extra bucks for this model, thinking it would be of higher quality and stable. I ended up having to point with my finger because the darn thing wouldn't work several times when I'd push the button. I looked very silly just pushing and pushing the button while everyone stared waiting to see what I was trying to point out. Very embarrassing. Buy the cheaper model and save the bucks. It might even turn out more reliable.
Laser pointer was purchased for use with Powerpoint presentation. The pointer stopped working when we got to slide #3 out of 40. I purposely bought a pointer that was priced in the middle of the range to avoid being a victim of you get what you pay for, but it seems that even the products that are priced in the middle of the range are also junk.
