I own about (8) eight of these! The lid "lip" perimeter curves (about 90 degrees) over the box edge - keeping insects out of your paperwork (here in Florida that's a problem no matter how clean your house is!) It is light-weight yet real sturdy. Mine are packed full with hanging files & paperwork with plenty of height to allow for the hanging tab plastic labels. I wouldn't buy any other box for storing paperwork or anything else!

I bought one for files and papers, then went back for more as my storage needs increased. I like the ability to stack the units. Only two minor complaints. The lid is attached by pressing it onto the hinge on the box and becomes detached too easily, and the "convenient carry handles" aren't handles, there are 'grab areas' in the rim of the box. Handles would just be in the way for me so I am glad there aren't any, just don't think it is right to claim something that is not so.

          I use these to store VERY important business documents and I love the fact I can choose to use them with legal or letter hanging folders. My ONLY COMPLAINT is: the Latch snaps off if you try to open and close so this may not be the best bins to use for everyday use, but its does the job. As for reliability, i can not answer that yet because my sole purpose is to protect these docs from any water/rain damage...but im sure they will be fine being theyre plastic bins
