This Staples product is FANTASTIC. I bought them to keep my bible school projects separated and they work fine for that. I can keep each week of the month separated easily yet visible. They transport easily and materials are not ruined by rain. I don't think the zip lock would be totally waterproof if immersed.

Teaching, I have several project going on at the same time, these allow me to visually see where I am at any time and I can transport them in the same envelope. They do have a tremendous expansion capability. I can easily place 150 pages into one legal size envelope. Being in a wheelchair, this ease is very important to me.

I do get the legal size because I make coloring books for my children and the construction paper cover's are too large for the letter size envelopes.

I even used them to pack items in for the hospital. I recently had surgery and took a few with personal hygiene products in one, and had a letter size unit for important documents as my living will & phone numbers. I even took an extra for all the little items you collect while being a patient.

I would highly recommend these envelopes to anyone for any reason, be it personal or for the office, school or just to keep everyday items separated. I did have one tear just below the zip area, but think it was my fault due to improper packing. I will certainly purchase more of these.

I can already think of many Christmas items to store in a letter size such as greeting cards w/ return addresses, package ID tage which I must have hundreds because I can never find them. Now they will all be kept together in a letter size envelope & packed with my ribbon asssortment. They also stack nicely. A GREAT product and value.
