Q: I have this item which says the number 18167. I believe this is the model number. You have mentioned Item number 732826. I bought the box from Stapes but I can't find the model number on the box. Can you guide me. I just want to make sure the pencils I have are HB or #2 lead pencils. As said earlier the box says 18167 and its a 0.5 mm pencil Asked on 6/5/2011 by verb from New York Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Model number 18167 is for a Staples® Postscript™ Mechanical Pencils, .5mm, Gray Barrel, item number 732826. These pencils take a 0.5 mm lead. Answered on 6/9/2011 by Dawn B from Staples A: If it has a grey barrel with a black top and bottom and is a .5mm, then it is the HB or #2 lead. An excellent product. Quite durable and the sliding sleeve for the lead is a real lead-saver. Answered on 6/28/2011 by bmegenity from Winchester, KS

Q: Is the Staples Postscript gray pencil (5mm) equivalent to the number 2 pencil required for use on the computerized bubble sheets used for school tests ? Asked on 4/17/2010 by Teacher B from New York, NY Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Yes item number 732826 is the HB (#2) lead. Answered on 5/10/2010 by Customer Care from Staples A: It worked for me (I took 3 scantron tests with these bad boys with no problems), but that in no way constitutes "equivalency". Bic has a packaged version that says it is "#2", but the lead advance stinks and the erasers are useless on them. It seems that it would be possible to get #2 refills and just put that in if the stock lead didn't work for you. Good Luck Answered on 8/2/2010 by Aqualung from Indiana
