    I have been searching for a decent electric pencil sharpener for YEARS. This one is amazing. Unlike the other "heavy duty" sharpeners, it actually holds up to 50 3rd graders using it multiple times a day. It sharpens a brand new pencil in about 10 seconds and resharpens dull pencils in about 2 seconds which is fantastic considering it was taking upwards of 30 seconds per pencil with my Bostitch and Xacto sharpeners (not to mention they came out uneven almost every time). The ONLY con to this sharpener (and I do mean only) is that it is pretty loud. I keep it at the back of my classroom, but it sharpens so perfectly that I don't even care how loud it is. This is a MUST buy for teachers!

    I am a new classroom teacher of high school students and the high end Staples sharpener was recommended. It is not the same one that my co-worker purchased but the one that was available. I would not normally spend this much one a pencil sharpener but durability is of the essence. I have not had the experience I would expect for the price of the sharpener. I want one that is acurate 100% of the time for the cost. I can't say I'm 100% satisfied.

          This sharpener is great for my classroom because it sharpens a lot of pencils in a short amount of time. It it very loud...in fact, my cooworkers call it the 747. I tend to do most sharpening before and after school so I don't disrupt the class next door. But, I like the speed. I can sharpen at least 30 pencils and it does not quit on me like other sharpeners have in the past.

            Teachers - this is The One! The cost is well worth it. It was recommended to me by another teacher and she was right. It sharpens new pencils in a few seconds and can handle a class supply without overheating. The reservoir is large enough to hold a day's worth of shavings and empties easily. It has small suction cup feet that help keep the sharpener from sliding around or getting damaged if a student bumps into it. Although the sound is a bit loud, it has a less annoying sound than others I have used.

                  A three year limited warranty means that it subject to replacement if it ceases to work due to a manufacture error. If the product is broken because for example it was dropped, then this would be the fault of the consumer, and not the manufacture. In this case, the product would not be replaced. A true warranty is a guarantee that no matter what happens to the product; it will be replaced, repaired, or refunded at the manufactures expense.
