We first ordered this for a conference we were hosting. Used this to put up signs, hold things together, label things, "laminate" small labels. Loved the feel of the tape. It doesn't tear funny where you have to look hard to find the start of the tape. "Quick Start", just like the name, never have trouble getting the start of the tape. Best tape I've used that has a perfect balance of stickiness, thickness AND relatively quiet. I will definitely buy this again.

In order to make a tape that unrolls easily, they've sacrificed tackiness-- the tape sticks OK to envelopes and packaging, but if you layer it at all, it peels right away where it's sticking to itself, and hangs up the packaging when the peeled-away part sticks to stuff you don't want it to stick to.
Won't be buying this again!

Worst tape I ever used

This is the worst packing tape I've ever used. The tabs of the dispenser break off instantly and then the end of the tape goes right back on the roll.

When that happens you'll never find the end. If you do find the end and peel it the tape will split and you'll pull off a splinter. When that happens toss the unused roll or you'll spend hours getting it useable again.

I threw it away and grabbed a similar roll of 3M tape. What a superior product then this Staples branded garbage.

Tape is "LONG LASTING" cause you cannot get it off the dispensing roll.... After each use, tape jams or snaps back onto roll and is impossible to remove without splitting ... Scotch brand much preferred!

Even though this product says it does not split IT DOES. When I first started using it four years ago, it didn't so I am not sure if the formula was changed but it has been splitting for the past two years at least. However, when it does split, it is easy to find the end and is easier than any other tape brand to get straightened out again.

As an allergen, I appreciate that it does not smell. As an office worker, I really like that it is silent where other packing tapes are loud!

Sometimes it doesn't stick well is it's only real downfall.

This is the ONLY tape I will use. It is silent and has none of the chemical smell other tapes do. Because of this, I am able to overlook that sometimes it does need pressing down more than others to stick, and regardless of what the packaging says, it does split. Interesting thing...I wonder if the formula was changed a few years back, because when I started using it, it did NOT split. Now it does, but not nearly as bad as other brands and because of the way it is made, it is MUCH easier to find the end and get it going right than other brands of tape. The only other negative is that I feel it is expensive compared to other brands.
