Q:
Will this work with a laptop (to use when waiting in the car)? Or do I need a power inverter...and what is the difference? Which would be better for my application?
This car charge has a max power output of 5 volts/1 amp which is not enough power to charge a laptop computer. You'll need a power inverter and use the laptop's charger or power cord.
