They write well, they don't scratch at the paper like some less expensive pens. The only thing my wife did not like is the little bit of material they put on the ball to keep the new pen from drying out. (you need to wipe it off on scratch paper)

I did not get a great feel for the pens as the pens were used by participants in a workshop. No one voiced any complaints. Container was difficult to open and had to be cut open. Would be nice if I could reseal the cover. Would make a nice container.
