This basic, compact calculator meets my needs for a small calculator I can keep on my desk in my home office to perform simple, every-day calculations. It is also compact enough to keep in a purse or wallet. It is a great value for the price. If you don't need all the advanced functions that an advanced math student or an engineer needs, I would highly recommend this product.

I wanted an inexpensive calculator for work that I could drop in my laptop bag when I travel. It works fine but the metal case is somewhat flimsy and dented before I had had it a week. I managed to straighten it out where it is still usable but I guess I need to find one with a flip cover.

              A:

              It is solar powered but may also run on battery as a backup. It will auto shut off after about 7-10 minutes after it has become idle.
