I love this chair! [...]this was the ONLY one that was comfortable to me. I had been eyeing it for a long time, but the price was too steep. When it went on sale I couldn't resist. The other chairs were all very firm, and since I am lighter in weight than most people, I wouldn't "sink in" to these hard chairs. This chair, however, is very easy for me to sink into, yet still offers the necessary support for my back. The lumbar support takes some getting used to. At first it feels like something hard jamming into your back, but I upgraded from a chair that had zero support, hence that feeling. It's also very roomy, adding to the comfort (no narrow constricting chair here). This chair is the epitome of comfort and style. Even though the arms and base are made of plastic, it still looks good and seems pretty sturdy. The leather is supple and quite becoming. I am sure it will be the envy of all who sit in it and realize it's mine, not theirs!

I purchased this Sealy Posturepedic / Executive Leather chair 18 months ago and can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that it’s the Worst Chair I have ever owned. I am a business owner and work at my desk in 4 to 5 hour stints, two to three times per day. After 10 years I had to replace my existing chair because the hydraulics began to fail. 10 years is more than you can ask from any regularly used desk chair. As a business owner I’m frugal by nature, however I refuse skimp on quality no matter what I’m buying. Why invest any amount of money into something that you will end up costing more in the long run? I will always do an extensive search the best price regardless of what I’m buying.
Unfortunately, the only reason I crossed paths with this cruel chair is because it was recommended to me by a family member. So, coupled with the recommendation, the Sealy brand name with its Poturepedic super foam, I justified the purchase. Bought it online when it was on sale, used a coupon & free delivery. Big mistake! This is another example of a company lending its branded name to an item with no other reason but to help sell an inferior product that cant sell itself. Too many examples to list, you know what I mean.
The only Sealy thing about this chair is the 1/32 of an inch of Sealy foam on top of the plywood seat and a Sealy logo glued on the side of the chair. It’s so uncomfortable; the seat doesn’t have a padded waterfall feature in the front which helps circulation. The hydraulics began to fail with in 10 months, the arms are cheap plastic, the stuff used to make children’s toys and have now falling apart. The legs on the five point base have plastic end caps that fall off all the time because the half inch line of glue won’t hold. Lumbar is worthless because the chair is so NON-Ergonomic you can’t take advantage of it unless you were to force yourself deeply back into the chair. Then you can feel the discomfort just above your belt line from the two prods emerging from the seat back.
This chair has become the joke of the office, getting switched out with someone else’s that has come in late or gone to the bathroom. I usually don’t take this kind of time to review something, but I owed it to this chair and Sealy.
On a positive note, last night I sat on a metal folding chair over three hours in a gymnasium watching my child’s school production. It was such a treat to sit in that folding chair, I felt like I was sitting in a Barcalounger.

I am in the "big and tall" class of persons (6'4" and 290#). I bought a big and tall chair specifically for someone of my stature and it was VERY uncomfortable.
I returned it (no hassles which was awesome!) to Staples and was shown a couple of options, including the Sealy chair.
It didn't take long to realize that this was a very comfortable chair. It has decent adjustability but more importantly, SUPER lumbar support, which is a key for a chair you're in 8-12 hours a day.
On the down side, the lumbar knob is a bit flimsy and plastic so I expect at some point it will break. The chair also creaks when I rock it now that I've had it for a couple of months.
I will advise those of you are looking to buy this chair to invest in the extended warranty plan. I was informed that if the chair broke, started rocking or had any other problems it would be replaced.

I have a couple of cheaper chairs for home office use that have worn out. I was planning on finding a more high quality/expensive chair for home - when I was alerted to a deal on this chair. The Seally name, the fact that it uses memory foam, and the great price - made me take a chance on it. Unfortunately for me ( a big guy) the chair uses low density memory foam in the seat. Sit on it - and it compresses right down to the hard wood bottom. Ouch!
Not sure if I will return - or keep for a guest chair. I will be back to looking for a $600-$900 professional grade chair with higher density foam. You get what you pay for.
I tried every chair I could find from several thousands in price to low priced chairs which offered support for my back. I finally stopped looking in the furniture stores & purchased this one. My back is better, I spend many hours in it. It's in our family room & is used as an armchair. My husband liked it so much he got one & our sister & brother-in-law are planning on getting a pair for the same use.
When buying a chair I make sure it supports my knees so that they don't hang out over the seating too far. This was the primary reason for my choice at Staples. The person who recently stated that the seat cushion is not well padded was right! Was hoping for more from Sealy's foam padding. So, for a tall/larger guy, the back height is great but the seat padding is poor. The chair looks great however.
