Great chair, have used it for 6 months. Love the high back and head support I can finally lean my head back and rest on the soft cushion.

When I first got this chair I noticed all the bad reviews complaining about the armrest breaking at the same area. Simple logic will tell you that yes the flimsy plastic is the only thing holing up the back of the chair! Not only that, this soft plastic will bend over time as you lean back further, eventually breaking.

My solution was to add a 1 inch wide steel plate into the armrest (see pic). I have made it so all the tension is on the steel when I lean back on the chair and guarantees the plastic to stay in same shape. This simple solution took $7 and 30 minutes of my time to keep this chair from failing. Now it feels solid as ever and looks same as the day it came in.

Delivered January 24th. Broke apart and nearly dumped me on the floor April 12th. No, I did not "put it together wrong." The cheap plastic armrest broke as I was in the reclined position and since it holds the back of the chair in place, the back is no longer stable. The chair is now a large, useless piece of garbage. Unfortunately, Staples accepts no furniture returns unless it's defective upon receipt. I did notice the materials felt cheap, but once it was delivered I was stuck with it. Do yourself a favor and avoid. I may have made a somewhat "budget" purchase, but I've bought far cheaper things that have lasted much longer than this non-refundable trash.

I got this chair few months ago. It was good initially but the padding of seat began to compress and feel uncomfortable. Then one of the Handles broke. There was a huge crack in the handle near the bolts. I am now scared to use it. Good value gone waste.

    I love this chair - best design I've found. Very comfortable with the high back. But I'm extremely disappointed because the hydraulic lift is malfunctioning. I spend hours every day at my computer, and a few months ago it started slipping down. Easy fix to pull up the lever, but now it's doing it sometimes every 10 minutes and it's beyond annoying. Bought it 2 years ago, but it should last longer than that. The chair itself is still in perfect condition - still looks like new - and it would be a waste to throw it away. Am contacting HQ to see if there's a fix that won't cost as much as the original sales price!

      This is a great chair for home use. I think the longest I have sat in it at one time is maybe a couple of hours, so I'm not sure about longevity comfort. The padded arms are a nice feature - one reason why I bought the chair.

      I can not remember when I purchased this chair but the arm rest brackets are both cracked and ready to break in half..
      There is no cushion in the seat to speak of, very hard to sit in, had to find a pillow to put on it.

          With the chairs fixed arms that have padding the measured top height is approximately 28"(inches) and when the chair is lowered to the lowest seated setting, the requesting height is measured as 23.5 " (inches).
