Q: Is there some trick to loading in the batteries? I have tried every way possible, still no action. Help, and thanks! Asked on 10/3/2010 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: If you're holding the sharpener upside down with the battery compartment open and away from you - the furthest row is negative in the upper left corner and positive in the upper right; the row closer to the middle of the sharpner is loaded the opposite - positive in the lower left corner and negative in the lower right. Q: Where can I get the blade of this sharpener? Asked on 10/11/2009 by JCPenny Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: staples Answered on 10/18/2009 by daughter of pacific ocean from new york city A: I work for staples and I've also had experience in shipping. This product retails for around $10-15, and I'm also pretty sure that staples doesn't carry a replacement blade for it (I have also checked online search engines with no results). So even if it did have a replacement blade on the market you are looking at around $5 for the item itself plus shipping costs (almost the price for a new one). Best advice is to check with staples to see if they can replace the entire thing, either by looking at our warranty, or even possibly the 100% satisfaction guarantee that comes on most of our Staples Brand products. Staples is all about customer service which is the nicest part about working here, so a store manager or telephone representative should be able to point you in the right direction.
