Staples® Southgate L-Desk

This table's surface is not painted, but covered by a wood color paper. It is very easily scratched and damaged when you install or use the table. Actually, I had to glue the paper first on my table's corner before installation. It is too heavy, so I hardly drive to store for returning or exchanging. I own an Office Depot's table, which has real paint, so I like it more.

I would not consider to buy Staples's table again.

We purchased 3 of these for our office. They were easy to set up, but we noticed that they scratch easily, we have big scratches on the top and side. The one on top was from a desk accessory that someone was sliding across the desk to use. We really thought they would be more resilent than that. Otherwise, they look beautiful and the storage area is wonderful.

Pretty desk, but beware: it's all pressboard. If that's not a problem for you, then you're good with this desk. I am pleased with the looks. Before purchasing this desk, however, consider the amount of time it takes to assemble this desk vs. the cost of a desk that is already assembled. Time is money, and it takes awhile to assemble this desk.

I use this everday for a home office, and it is great! Saw it on display in the store, and for the money, decided to get one (also got the hutch). It even looks better in my office than it did in the store. Plenty of storage for my needs, and very functional. Assembly went well, except the first few steps putting the drawer rails on. When you separate them to install them, it wasn't clear about which half to install. Once I figured that out, the rest went well. The hardware pack idea is great! Individual packs of hardware, labeled and matched to each step. Eliminates any questions because it contains the proper number of parts for that step. All in all, very satisfied and would recommend to my friends. Thanks!

This is a nice desk, but the quality of the cherry lamination is poor. It scratches easily.This is a two to three person job if you get hutch. It is impossible to built in a corner area so you will have to move it into place once assembled.I got the desk, hutch and book shelf. The hutch is a requirement for me! I like storage room....I use this product in my home office.[...]
