I have tried all those more costly "name brand" things, including the ones with all the "crosshatching" that are supposed to hold a piano! Every danged brand pops open from even just slightly sharp cornered items (like a cardboard corner) or heavy items! I was constantly either having to add a second bag (double bagging) or taping over the part where the contents punched through on those "other" bags!
I'm on my third box of these and have yet to have a single bag puncture! Using for BOTH household & business trash.

I am very picky about my trash bags. I thought I would try these and was pleasantly surprised. Cost was good and product was great. I even got more in package than national brand and paid less.
