      This file cabinet is about the only one that is available in 22 inch depth and that is the primary reason I bought it. This helps out in my particular office set-up. You can use a 24 inch wide top on two file cabinets and you have a quick desk or work surface. I also like that it has a file "traveler" so it allows for non-hanging folders as well as accomodating hanging folders. The cabinet is not as sturdy as others I have looked at, although it is less expensive. One of the cabinets came dented in the back from a shipping/handling error.

      I moved my office to a different room in my house, and the closet in the new room was not deep enough for my Hon file cabinet. The Hon filing cabinet was very sturdy, with smoothly opening drawers and was very well balanced. I bought this Staples cabinet based on the web description and reviews. It is much lighter than the Hon cabinet. I filled both drawers with files, and opened the top drawer--the cabinet tilted forward. I wound up piling books on top of the cabinet to keep it balanced.
      The drawer mechanism is good but definitely not as heavy duty as I hoped. At this price point, I frankly expected a sturdier file cabinet. I would recommend this, but only as a middle-quality cabinet for someone stepping up from a basic model without full-suspension drawers.
      Otherwise, the appearance is good, the size is correct, and Staples had delivered it to my nearby store in perfect condition and on the promised date.

              The only way to stack them would be to wood between the two sections to distribute the weight and prevent slipping. Plywood cut slightly larger than the top would work.
