We recently purchased two of these through Staples and had them delivered to our local store. My kids helped me install them in our family storage unit. It was handy being able to buy several widths, depths and heights, to make good use of the space.

We use the same brand at work, there's a 72" tall rolling unit with casters behind me, loaded with document scanners.

While these shelves are strong, highly functional, attractive, easy to assemble, and seem like they should last forever, my favorite thing about them is that you can adjust the shelves up and down in place. You will want a heavy rubber mallet...

My previous question regarding the dimensions of the animal cages should have used the dimensions 48" X 18". I believe that I entered the wrong dimensions. Please answer using the correct dimensions.

  The shelves are 48" wide and 18" deep, and you can add or remove the actual shelves to customize the height, up to 72", the total height of the unit. Additional shelves are available.

We want to use this shelving for animal cages that have a 40" X 18" foot print. Are the dimensions of the shelving exactly 40" X 18"? And will my animal cages fit within the dimensions of the shelving ?

  The shelf height is can be adjusted easily, however the height of the four support poles cannot be reduced and will be 72 inches tall.
