This laminator is OK, but not great. If you've never used a hot laminator before (and have nothing to compare it to), it will seem fine. If you've used other more expensive laminators, you will understand that you get what you pay for. It can run a little cool, so the lamination pouches don't always fuse properly, leaving a slightly opaque (rather than clear) seal. I re-run those to fix the problem, but that takes time. If you plan to do several laminations in a row, you will likely have to pause between each to allow the machine to heat up. The "ready" light clicks off if multiple laminations are attempted in a row, and then the fusing problem (mentioned above) is a major issue. If you laminate one or two items a week, buy this. If you laminate several items at a time, buy a laminator with a little more horsepower.

As a home schooling mom I needed a laminator to laminate all my charts, flash cards, graphs, etc... that I need to last for the school year and for future school years. I almost always buy the Staples brand, because the quality is outstanding without the marked up price tag of name brands, but that is not the case with this laminator. In fact I actually exchanged my 1st one for a 2nd one because I was positive that I just had gotten a lemon-it happens sometimes. But, that was not the case, with both machines I had to run items through 2-3 times for them to seal correctly. I had to return the Staples brand, which I exchanged for a GBC, that was a bit more. But, I am very please with the results.

This product is great for small at home uses. I'm into scrapbooking & it's perfect for those newspaper articles & photos out of our town paper that I don't want to yellow & crinkle with age. My kids will thank me later that I took the time to preserve those lasting childhood memories.

I'm a teacher and it helps to laminate a lot of my stuff. This machine met all my needs. The only down side I see is the cardboard jacket is getting frayed on the edges. Don't know if it's me...or the machine.

I used this machine to laminate name badges for a reunion. It saved me a lot compared to having the job done professionally and the result was excellent! The proof was in the comments of the recipients.........they loved them! Had I been a bit more forward thinking, I would have left the date off the badges. They could then have been used for many years. Oh well, live and learn.

This machine worked great. It heated up quickly and worked for over an hour straight without overheating. However, a few times the pouch did slide out of the carrier and jammed up. That was a drag. And, we noticed that we felt dizzy after we'd been laminating for about an hour, so I would suggest good ventilation while the machine's in use. I don't think that has anything to do with the laminator, itself -- just the nature of laminating and probably common to them all. Overall, this machine worked great creating Teacher and Student ID cards for our home school support group. I would highly recommend it.
