Q: Can these be refilled? Asked on 10/5/2009 by cakelady from Lancaster,sc Know the answer? Answer this question 7 answers A: Short answer: Yes. You can have someone refill them for you or you can refill them yourself using a refill kit. I have been able to get only a single refill per cartridge, however. The nozzles seem to clog irreparably following the second refill. You need good instructions on the procedure for refilling and you must very careful while refilling to prevent damage to the cartridge. Also, the HP printer might not recognize the cartridge as being full, so you'll need to search the 'net to find instructions on how to fool the printer into regarding the cartridge as new. Answered on 11/23/2009 by Ink Smudged from Oak Ridge, Tennessee A: I have refilled them, even made a hole in the top when none was there. the refill kit worked well, cartridge worked well afterwards also. Answered on 10/22/2009 by kj1 from santa barbara, ca A: I've tried it, a couple of years ago, but had leaks. I feel that replacment ink is not up to the par of manufacturers. Answered on 10/27/2009 by petesey from FL A: yes, but when new you get new heads for printing as well and refilled they seem to lose the sharpness. Answered on 12/1/2009 by Reds from West Chester, PA A: Sure, but you probably won't get the life out of them, and I've found that refills have poor print quality. Answered on 12/2/2009 by pureputt from New Jersey A: Yes they can but they do not last as long. And it's hit and miss. One time it seems like it lasts a while then the next time it seems like it quit within a week. Answered on 12/1/2009 by none from quad cities A: Yes they can be refilled. I've never had a good experience refilling carterages but I know people who have. I've always had refilled ones last less time and take longer to dry.
