The 3 1/2" hanging folder tab holds more information on its label. I also use computer- or labelmaker-generated labels, so I have labeling systems, and I need to get a fair amount of information on a label. The 2" tabs included in boxes of hanging folders are nearly useless. I seldom have a label that brief. I'd prefer they discontinue them and discount the boxes accordingly, or include 3 1/2" tabs instead.
Finally, I could not find this product elsewhere. I'm thrilled you have it available.

The only problem with the tabs is they are too straight--vertical--in the file folder. They need to bend backwards more so they can be seen easily in the drawer. I have a four-drawer file cabinet and have to bend down to read them at eye level for all the drawers except the top one.

        Basically, I have tons of files, so I put them in vertical files, and use the 3" clear plastic tabs to label each hanging folder. I use a label maker, and this (upper & lower case) makes the labels quite visible, especially in my apartment at night, when there's not a lot of light shining on the file draws.

            Our company has been purchasing these for years because the tabs that come with folders aren't long enough to fit what we need on them. They were great...

            Making our new files for the upcoming year we discovered that they've started making the tabs TALLER and they smash into the top of our file cabinet when we try to close/open it!!!!!

            Extremely unsatisfied.

                Unfortunately, we do not have a template that can be used to print labels from your PC. It has been suggested by customers that the template from Avery 8066 labels will work. To place an order for this item, please contact us by dialing 1-800-333-3330.

                Avery and Pendaflex both make Printable Hanging Folder Tab Inserts. They are 8.5" x 11" sheets which can easily be printed to name your labels.

                These tabs are almost straight up and down. They have a very slight slant, but I have no trouble reading them from a 60-75 degree angle (as opposed to a 90-degree, or absolutely on top of the tab). Hope this answers your question.

                Hint: Due to the very slight slant, I find that carefully feeling the bend of the tab before I insert the label, helps me make sure I insert the label on the correct side for maximum visibility.
