The WRN2000 is a replacement for the Linksys WRT150N Wireless-N Home Router. I had the Linksys for just one year when it kept dropping the LAN and wireless connection I did some home work and I purchased the Net gear router. Does a great job.
I have 1 LAN client and three wireless clients no problem

I purchased this about a month ago for a home network with 2 laptops and a broadband phone. It was replacing a Belkin router that worked fine but we wanted to step up from G speed to N speed. As soon as I set it up the phone stopped working. Now I'm an IT manager by day so I know how to configure these guys but I could not get the phone to work again. Then I noticed every morning I would be connected Local Only while the router said Identifying in my Network Control Panel. I would have to disconnect from the network from my computer and then reconnect and then I would have internet access. My husbands computer was doing the same thing. It would randomly drop the connection while I was online and I would have to disconnect and reconnect again. The cable modem was fine it is something with the router. I looked it up online and tons of people have the same issue with this router. I will be returning it today. I plugged my old belkin back in and everything works perfectly and our phone started working again right off the bat. I contacted NetGear but they seem to have no idea they were trying to put the problem on my cable modem. I'll be returning this today.

Comments about NETGEAR N300 WiFi Router WNR2000:

I recently bought this WNR2000 V4 router for my mother-in-law. The setup was easy. Now, about 7 months later, the wireless will not work. The wireless LED will not light up; even though I have pushed the ON/OFF button several times.
When I tried to log on to http://www.routerlogin.net, it cannot resolve the URL. When I check the assigned IP Address, it assigns 169.256.X.X; which indicates that the computer is not being assigned an address from the router. I know the cable is good because I can see that it is connected at 100 Mbps; and I have connected to my router (D-Link; have had for 5 years ) I have tried several other PC device; still nothing with this router
If you try to go to NetGear, they want to charge you for support. This is the second time that I have had issues with NetGear products.
Also, I cannot find my receipt from Staples; therefore, It is just one big paperweight.
Therefore, I am done with NetGear! Maybe you will have bitter (better) luck if you decide to purchase.

Inexpensive and works!

Comments about NETGEAR N300 WiFi Router WNR2000:

Having an old wireless router that finally bit the dust at my office, a new one was in order. Our network stations (small network - server and two stations) are wired, but we need wireless access for two laptops. I didn't want to spend a fortune, and didn't require much other than simple wireless access at a reasonable speed. I selected the Netgear product as it was inexpensive, appeared to have good range, and otherwise would satisfy the needs of our office. Set up would have been very simple for the average installation, but as it was to be part of our network, had to be behind our firewall and so on, we had the folks that take care of our computers install it. (Again, I don't think that there would be any difficulty to install this in a home network if you follow the very simple directions.) Now that it is installed, it serves our needs perfectly, has good range in our office, and I am completely happy with it. It would certainly work well in a small office or home network, at a very minimal cost.
