        Comments about Federal Warranty 2-year Technical support and protection plan ($300-$399):

        Be advised that this warranty has some terms and conditions that are not stated in the listing, even in the fine print. For the first year, the warranty covers only phone assistance and surge protection and you must use your manufacturer's warranty for hardware problems. Only in year 2 will Staples/Federal Warranty cover hardware. I had the unfortunate situation of my printer failing shortly before the end of the first year. I had a family emergency at the time, checked my warranty which said "2 years from date of purchase" and ignored the printer problem while I was away for several months related to the family emergency. When I returned home, Staples refused to cover the problem because it occurred in the first year; HP refused to cover the problem because I waited to long to report it. No exceptions.

          I must say as a man in the Tech world, staples Easy techs have always been by my side. I was at the Hamilton NJ store on rt 33 and those easy techs were amazingly knowledgeable. once they help me get my desktop they offered the 2 year tech support and repair at first i just said no but once he explained the perks of having it to me I got it and 6 months later my desktop started acting up i gave the tech support a call it was quick for someone to answer it and they talked me through but i had to send it out. they sent a box in 2 days and i took it to staples they shipped it out and by the next week i got it back good as new and its still running better than i got it. Thanks staples Easy Techs.

              First you need to contact Staples to arrange to have your printer serviced. The contact number directly to Staples Technical support and Protection Plan is 1-866-782-9155. After talking to an Administrator he/she will arrange one of the following options:
              1. On-site - Express Shipping. If your printer is still under manufacturer warranty calls will not be scheduled until approved by your printers manufacturer according to the contract I am reading. If they ask you to ship your product, Staples will pay the shipping fees.
              2. Carry-In - You are responsible to deliver it to the designated center. They will mail it back to you when it's finished.
              3. Deductible - A deductible might apply to your service plan, if so you are responsible to pay for it each time you have an item serviced. This is listed on your sales receipt if you have one.

              The time to repair your printer will vary depending on the method of delivery, and the services provided, so there is no way to estimate that until you speak to an Administrator.
